Christmas Parties and Christmas Lunch in Surrey's Country Pubs and Private Dining Rooms (2026)

A Peach Pubs inn on Albury's main street with rooms upstairs. Its 2026 festive menu runs from Wednesday 25 November to Thursday 24 December, with free-range turkey and stuffing, braised beef or a plant-based squash and wild mushroom dish among the mains.

Book a festive-menu table from 25 November to 2 December and the pub offers a glass of Prosecco each (from 5pm, Monday to Friday, limited to the first 300 pre-booked guests). The private dining room seats up to 18.

A coaching inn at the foot of Box Hill, in Mickleham village. Its festive menu is served from 23 November to 23 December 2026, but not on Sundays. The Christmas party menu linked from the pub's 2026 page includes Norfolk bronze turkey with sage and chestnut stuffing, and a côte de boeuf for two at a supplement.

Party bookings need a £10-a-head deposit and a full pre-order at least 21 days ahead. For Christmas Day the deposit is £60 a head, including children, it is non-refundable, and pre-orders are due by 1 December 2026.

José Pizarro's pub in Claygate does Christmas the Spanish way: two sharing menus for the table rather than a turkey set menu. The £45 menu includes pan con tomate, Manchego with quince and slow-roasted pork belly; the £60 menu adds Ibérico shoulder and slow-roasted leg of lamb. Both finish with an almond nougat custard.

There is a private dining room for 20, and the pub can be hired exclusively for 40 seated or 100 standing, or in full for 150. It also has a heated garden and guest rooms.

A Brunning & Price pub on the Reigate road at Buckland, west of Reigate. Its Christmas Fayre menu runs from Wednesday 25 November to Thursday 24 December 2026, alongside a December daily menu with a turkey dinner on it.

Tables of up to 11 can order from either menu on the day with no pre-order. Larger groups use the set menu and are sent a link to pre-order. Christmas Day is a set menu, also pre-ordered after booking.

A Young's pub at Hascombe, south of Godalming, with its Christmas 2026 menus already online. The party menu is three courses for £42, with crown of English turkey or West Country rump of beef among the mains; there are also festive sharers and a children's menu.

Its dining room, with vaulted ceilings and a fireplace, takes 35 seated or 50 standing. Christmas Day bookings are paid in full in advance; deposits are refundable up to 14 days before the booking, and Christmas Day pre-orders are due by 10 December. The pub is usually open 12pm to 6pm on Christmas Day.

A Young's pub in the middle of Wonersh, a 12-minute walk from the Bramley & Wonersh station. Its Christmas 2026 party menu is three courses for £42, and it holds a Christmas Party Night with a DJ on Thursday 10 December.

The Old Bakery, its private room with vaulted ceilings and a fire, seats 24 or holds 40 standing. Booking terms match the White Horse: the full Christmas Day price is taken as a deposit, refundable up to 14 days before.

A converted watermill on the River Tillingbourne, now a pub. Its 2026 festive menu starts on Thursday 26 November, and booking to dine between 26 November and 10 December earns 10% off festive-menu food. Mains include roasted rolled turkey with sage and onion stuffing, and a wild mushroom bourguignon pie.

The pub has several group spaces, none fully enclosed: a new walled Garden Pavilion (60 seated, 80 standing), the semi-private River Room (30 seated), the Loft (40 seated, exclusive use) and the Nook (10). It is closed on Christmas Day.

A country pub on the Guildford Road at Mayford, south of Woking. Its festive menu runs from 24 November to 24 December 2026, with festive sharing boards for standing parties. Group bookings made by 31 October get a glass of fizz on arrival for each guest.

For parties there is the Orangery (semi-private, up to 24) and the Butterfly Room (semi-private, up to 12), with no room hire charge but a minimum spend. A festive darts package (£35 a head, two hours of digital darts with sharing boards) suits groups of 16 to 20.

A farmhouse pub high on the North Downs above Warlingham. Its festive menu has a shorter run than most: Wednesday 2 to Saturday 19 December 2026, not on Sundays, Mondays or Tuesdays (when the pub is closed).

A non-refundable £5-a-head deposit secures the booking, and pre-orders are due a week before. Everyone in a party must order from the same menu. The largest area for private groups inside the inn seats 20 to 25.

A riverside hotel opposite Hampton Court Palace. Its Christmas party menu is three courses from £49 a head, served in the 1665 Brasserie or one of its private dining rooms; dishes include Norfolk turkey ballotine and pan-fried sea bream.

An all-inclusive package at £70 a head adds a drink on arrival, exclusive room hire and an in-house DJ. On Christmas Day the hotel serves a set menu that starts with a glass of Bollinger, and you need not be staying to book.

A Tudor country-house hotel near Egham with the widest range of party rooms in this guide. Small groups can use the Wine Room (up to 10) or the Garden Room (up to 18) with a festive à la carte menu.

Above 18, the Festive Feasting menu is £80 a head plus room hire in the Mowbray & Mandeville suites (30), the Orangery (80) or the Tithe Barn (120). Full party nights in the Tithe Barn or Orangery, with prosecco, half a bottle of wine each, three courses and a DJ until midnight, are £135 a head for a minimum of 45 guests. Private diners get up to 30% off an overnight stay in December.
