Wedding Caterers in Surrey

Eight caterers for Surrey weddings, from plated wedding breakfasts and sharing feasts to hog roasts and street food, with the venues they work at and the prices they publish.

Editorial Staff · 16 October 2026 · 9 min read

If your venue doesn't do its own food, or you are marrying in a barn, a marquee or a garden, the caterer is likely to be your biggest single supplier. Surrey has long-established caterers that work at the county's barns and manor houses, as well as hog roast and street-food caterers for something more relaxed.

This guide covers eight caterers, seven of them based in Surrey. Everything comes from the caterers' own websites, the venues' sites and the Food Standards Agency's hygiene ratings, checked in October 2026. Only one publishes wedding prices, so expect to ask for a quote. The photo shows West Horsley Place, one of the venues where Two Many Cooks caters.

Check your venue's caterer list first

Many barn and estate venues have approved or exclusive caterers. Gate Street Barn at Bramley, for example, lists its approved caterers on its own site and charges a £2,500 surcharge for using anyone else. Ask your venue before you fall for a caterer it doesn't allow.

What to compare

Style
Plated (served at the table), sharing (platters or feasting dishes on each table), bowl food, buffet, hog roast or BBQ, or street food from trucks.
Staff
Waiting staff and a front-of-house manager are sometimes in the per-head price and sometimes charged by the hour.
Equipment
Crockery, cutlery, glassware and linen may be included or hired on top.
Bar
Some caterers run the bar; otherwise you need a separate bar or the venue's.
Hygiene
Every food business has a public Food Standards Agency hygiene rating at ratings.food.gov.uk.

Before you book

Check that the caterer is allowed at your venue. Ask exactly what the per-head price covers: staff, equipment, linen, tasting and VAT. Find out how many staff they will send for your numbers and how long they will stay. If there is no bar at the venue, ask whether they run one or recommend one. And look up their hygiene rating; the seven Surrey caterers above were all rated 5 when we checked.

For the rest of the day, see our guides to mobile bars, marquee and tipi hire, and chosen Surrey wedding suppliers, including pizza vans, and our page of wedding sweets, desserts and favours.
