Private Dining Rooms in Dorking and around Box Hill

Three pubs, a town-centre inn and England's largest single-estate winery with space for your group, with seated numbers where published and how to book.

Editorial Staff · 11 October 2026 · 4 min read

Dorking and the villages below Box Hill have a handful of private rooms, from a table for eight to a wine cellar that seats a hundred and fifty. This guide covers five, in Mickleham, Pixham, the town centre and on the Denbies estate.

Capacities come from each venue's own website, checked in October 2026. Two of the five don't publish numbers for their rooms, and we say so. None publishes a minimum spend, so ask when you enquire.

Before you book

Ask about minimum spends, room hire and deposits, as none of these venues publishes them. Where a venue doesn't publish a capacity, give your numbers first and ask which room it would use. If you're bringing a dog, check it is allowed in the room you book, not only in the bar.

We also cover private dining rooms near Guildford and the Surrey Hills, in Esher and Cobham, and in Reigate and Redhill.
